RJH Golf Course Management Services Inc.

The Valley Ridge Golf & Conference Centre announced today that they have secured the services of RJH Golf Course Management Services to coordinate the 2003 Wayne Gretzky & Friends Invitational. The Event is a 3 day golf outing July 27th to 29th Featuring Wayne Gretzky and 2 sports celebrities against a top PGA player. The event is telecast on CTV and TSN. The event is sponsored by Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities (RMCC) and presented by Enmax. The event is managed and owned by IMG.

RJH will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of Valley Ridge with IMG, and RMCC to ensure the highest caliber of event. “We are very excited to have Robbie and RJH coordinate this event for us. Robbie was instrumental in preparing our proposal and securing the event for Valley Ridge, his previous event experience and his working relationship with both RMCC and IMG will certainly be an asset to us, said Mr. Martin Piche General Manager of Valley Ridge. I have worked closely with Robbie over the last 13 years and look forward to working with him on this exciting”, he concluded.

Robbie has a long standing working relationship with both IMG and RMCC. In 1999 Robbie was the coordinator for Tremblant of the Export “A” Skins Game which is owned and managed by IMG as well as coordinating the 2002 Valley Ridge Golf Academy Inauguration which used IMG represented PGA and LPGA players. Robbie’s relationship with RMCC dates back to 1995 when he helped them establish their first golf celebrity fundraiser held at the Le Geant course at the Tremblant Resort. “The chance to come back to Valley Ridge and to work with both IMG and RMCC again is fantastic; these are two world class organizations. The money that is collected from this event goes to so many great charities and the opportunity to be involved and to assist in making it a great event is truly and honor”, said Hellstrom.

The development and growth of Valley Ridge was in large part due to Robbie’s contribution. From January of 2000 to August of 2002 he was responsible for reinventing the Club and positioning it today as one of the best Golf Clubs in Alberta. The Club invested sizable capital in upgrading the golf course which is now a 7026 yard championship layout as well as a complete renovation of the 22,000sq ft Clubhouse. In the fall of 2001 RJH undertook the construction of the Golf Academy which opened for play in June of 2002. “We are most pleased to continue our partnership with Robbie, his contribution to the success and the recognition Valley Ridge now has are in large part due to his efforts and the knowledge he brought to our facility”, said John Brown President of Century group the owners of Valley Ridge.
